FormDocs Policies for Software Licensing and Product Refunds

FormDocs Software License Policy

FormDocs is licensed "per user".

For example, if you want to install FormDocs onto five Windows computers then you will need to obtain five licenses, one license for each user. When FormDocs is installed on a Windows client computer the license is then associated with that specific user until FormDocs is un-installed from that computer or until the license is deactivated from the FormDocs 'License Management Console'.

If you want to install FormDocs onto Windows computers in a domain-connected environment, then you will need to obtain one license for each FormDocs user. In a domain-connected environment, a FormDocs license is associated with that specific user until the license is deactivated from the FormDocs 'License Management Console'.

If you want to install FormDocs onto a Server or virtual platform such as Windows Server, Terminal Services, Virtual Desktop, Citrix, etc. so that multiple users can run the software then you will need to obtain multiple licenses, one license for each user, regardless of when or how often each user will run FormDocs. Note that such "per user" licensing on these platforms is not the same as "concurrent" licensing, which FormDocs does not offer. When FormDocs is installed on a Server or virtual platform a license is then associated with one or more individually named users until FormDocs is un-installed from that platform or until one or more individually named users is deactivated from the FormDocs 'License Management Console'.

In both instances, FormDocs license management requires that all computers running FormDocs maintain a periodic direct or indirect connectivity to the internet in order to activate, validate, and deactivate licenses, as well as to deliver important updates to runtime executables and resources. Note that your FormDocs data files are never transmitted over, or exposed to, these periodic internet connections.
